As soon as I ordered the car I searched eBay and purchased a Tesla S engine. It will be over a year between purchase and the ability to test it. Let's hope it works.
I strongly suggest that anybody interested in working with a Tesla motor looks at a video by Professor John D. Kelly of Weber State University. Once you have you will understand that this is a component you can not mess around with and have to look after. I leave it to you to look at this 45 minute YouTube.
